| SPECIAL THANKS Since 1978, TPL(Trust for Public Land) has taken the lead in helping NYC neighborhood groups to preserve community open spaces. Mama Dee's Garden is such a space, that is permanently protected, due to TPL's efforts. The garden thanks you from the bottom of it's roots! A special thanks to Borough President, Howard Golden- for letting his Golden Rays shine on the garden. Still, I would like to thank Crown Heights Youth Collective Inc. for allowing me access to their facility. A warm thank you to Bert Pinnock who was there from the start- only you know what we endured ! Mama Dee's Garden is dedicated to the loving memory of the late Mr.& Mrs. Gussie Williams of Brownsville. As it has in the past, Green Thumb, will continue to service all the gardens participating in it's program along with Ellen Kirby and Julie Warsowe of the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens. |
